About us
our mission
To encourage greater tolerance and open-mindedness and to support access to better living conditions and opportunities for all.
Funding of social impact projects
Each year, Azickia financially supports social impact projects in France and around the world. Each project is carefully selected and responds to a social issue with a sustainable solution and a long-term impact.
We support human size projects that focus on three main issues – health, education and gender equality – with human beings, empowerment and the improvement of the quality of life and conditions for everyone at the heart of their mission.
A constructive and socially engaged magazine
Our magazine, ILA – Inspire, Learn, Act – is published by our social impact fund Azickia and publishes long-form and inspiring content on social and societal issues. Based on the principles of slow journalism, we focus on quality content by taking a step back from the news to fight against infobesity and the overflow of negative information. Our articles are written by journalists and by people with different profiles who want to share their stories and experiences. All our content is part of an editorial approach that is open to the world, innovative and accessible.
the story of azickia
The Azickia Fund was created in 2019 by Anaelle Azoulay and her two sisters. It was born out of a desire to act and innovate by combining philanthropy and journalism.
Inspired by her background in social entrepreneurship, media, and international development, Anaelle’s goal was to create a non-profit structure to fund social impact projects but also to inform more positively and constructively about these same social issues.
Because a better understanding of the world is the first step towards positive and sustainable social change.
In addition to financial support for projects, the first online magazine, Azickia Stories, was launched.
The ambition was to publish inspiring, high-quality, long-form content on three selected themes – gender equality, health and education – in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Since 2019, Azickia has supported 9 social impact projects – in France and around the world – for a total amount of more than €60K, published more than 80 articles online and launched a first test version of a print magazine.
Three years after its creation, Azickia is reinventing itself to broaden its impact to new themes and create a new magazine that is even more committed and inspiring.
Today, our mission is divided into two distinct and always complementary areas : on the one hand, Azickia and the financing of impact projects and on the other hand, ILA (Inspire, Learn, Act), the new constructive and socially engaged magazine published by Azickia.
Each activity nourishes the other, to create a comprehensive project that combines reflection and action.

how does azickia work ?
For the first three years, Azickia’s business model was based mainly on donations from its founder Anaelle.
Today, the aim is to go even further and develop our model by allowing anyone who wishes (individuals, companies, readers) to make a donation to support the project.
These donations will be used to help develop Azickia and to increase the financial support given to the positive impact projects we select each year.
Later on, we also aim to launch a new biannual print version of our magazine ILA to allow readers to support us by buying the print version with exclusive content.
Our online magazine is 100% free and without advertising.
ILA Magazine is published by our impact fund Azickia. It is a nonprofit magazine, financed solely by donations from anyone who wishes to contribute.
To support ILA and constructive nonprofit journalism, find out more on ILA’s website.
what are your donations used for ?
Via the French nonprofit platform Helloasso, your donations are directly transferred to our social impact fund Azickia.
Each donation contributes to the development of our social impact fund to help us find more donors and to increase the amount of donations we make each year to the social impact projects we select. Each of these projects has an impact on three major issues: health, education and gender equality.
